Every repair starts with feedback from the driver or an apparent fault in the vehicle (the ’check system’ light comes on, for example). Mechanics usually start their investigation by connecting a Multi-Make Diagnostic Tool to the vehicle.

Most specialist tools are able to retrieve vehicle data quickly and accurately. The user is subsequently presented with one or more fault codes, requiring him (or her) to consult a wealth of information in order to arrive at an accurate assessment. This is where our VESA system comes in.

Easy to use

VESA provides instant access to an extensive database containing detailed information on electronic systems. By selecting either a specific fault code or a component, the user is able to start a diagnosis with one single click.

New features

Vivid has added some important features to its VESA module.

  • New ABS data (Anti-lock Braking System)
  • New ESP data (Electronic Stability Program; ESC = Electronic stability control)
  • Control Modules Location (vehicle overview)
  • Electronics Parts Locations; detailed drawings, showing the location of specific engine management components

New developments:

  • A cross-link between the Fuses and Relays as shown on the diagrams and the location of the relay and fuse box(es) inside the car
  • The location of Grounding Points in the car, cross-linked to the grounding points shown on the diagrams
  • The pin locations of Electronic Control Modules, showing the pin connections in relation to the pin-table as well as the other components in the diagram
  • A major update of the (manufacturers) fault codes
  • A new, step-by-step diagnosis for all fault codes in our current electronic systems
