Soest, 11 October 2011 – Vivid Automotive Data & Media B.V., European provider of technical data for the automotive industry, introduces Vivid SmartFIX. With this solution, Vivid provides independent garages with Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) for the most common vehicle types in Europe.
Independent garages have a proven need for clear and comprehensive technical information on technical service bulletins, recalls and maintenance regulations for Europe’s top-selling cars. Until recently, this information was only accessible to authorised dealers. Due to a change in EU regulations, car manufacturers are now obliged to make TSBs available to all garages. Vivid quickly responded to this new situation and with Vivid SmartFIX it now offers this data solution to its customers.
With Vivid SmartFIX, mechanics now have one-touch access to information on common vehicle technical issues and concerns. SmartFIX offers access to the same detailed knowledge which authorised dealers have, resulting in time savings for vehicle servicing and resolution of technical problems and issues. The Vivid SmartFIX module is a comprehensive addition to Vivid WorkshopData ATI, the leading Automotive Technical data solution for independent garages. The data is currently available in 23 languages.
Vivid SmartFIX offers immediate access to TSBs and recalls for more than forty vehicle makes. Vivid’s technical specialists filter the information through SmartFIX, offering access to relevant data which mechanics can use daily in the workshop. SmartFIX also supports mechanics in quickly identifying familiar technical concerns. Not only does the Vivid SmartFIX solution save time, it also assists independent garages to enhance their customer support and prevent possible problems. The module links directly to various parts of Vivid WorkshopData ATI and can easily be linked to spare parts catalogues. Together, Vivid WorkshopData ATI and Vivid SmartFIX make all the relevant information available to mechanics.
Thanks to Vivid SmartFix’s intuitive interface and comprehensive search options, the TSBs are quickly retrievable. The TBSs offer a clearly formulated and appropriate solution, enabling every mechanic to work with this data. Currently, there are about five hundred TSBs available. Vivid expects to add between 2,500 and 3,000 TSBs to the module in 2012. Vivid SmartFIX is automatically updated through the internet.
