Helping others to help themselves

Although Vivid's road to success has not been without obstacles, we've also had our fair share of luck. As a small organization, we are only too aware of the difficulties faced by small companies and entrepreneurs, especially those strapped for capital. So when Vivid was acquired by Haynes Publishing, we decided to use some of the proceeds to help others.
We joined Kiva - a non-profit microfinance institution that provides financial assistance to people around the world - and gave each of our employees $50,00 to lend - and hopefully re-lend - as they saw fit.
